LOCAL and State
Partnership's Recovery Resource Hub
There are a variety of treatment programs and recovery support group programs that are available in our community and state. What we learned in 2018 is that having a list of places for people to call for help leads to frustration and unfortunately, in too many instances, death. That's why Partnership created the Recovery Resource Hub program. We had an advisory committee which met and came up with our current program, which launched in February 2020.
The Hub provides a one-stop shop. Instead of trying to navigate what can quickly become a complicated process, the Hub's team can make that process easier. If you are looking for treatment and have insurance, depending on what substance or substances being use, the team can direct you to qualified programs.
If you don't have insurance or resources there are still many options available to you, in Alabama there are state-funded options. However, a screening is required by a qualified clinician to determine what type of treatment program is needed. There are different levels of care offered by different programs. That's why the screen is an important part of the process. The Hub provides these assessments for free for those with no insurance. Then, up to three referrals are provided and a peer support specialist is also available to help guide you through the process.
If you are a family member or friend of someone struggling with a substance use disorder, staff can provide information and help guide you through the ups and downs until your loved one is ready for treatment. It's not easy.
The Hub staff is available Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. by calling 256-539-7339. Screenings are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. The Hub also offers free fentanyl test strips.
All Hub services are supported by the City of Huntsville, City of Madison, Madison County Commission and generous donations from local corporate and individual donors. Donations may be made here If you would like to support this program.
