2019 Highlights

The Partnership was awarded an $87,000 grant from the Alabama Department of Public Health for 2019 youth tobacco prevention programs in Huntsville, Madison and Madison County. The use of e-cigarettes by underage youth, especially the popular electronic nicotine delivery system JUUL, has hit epidemic levels, according to public health officials.

Also in 2019, the federal Communities for National Service awarded The Partnership with AmeriCorp VISTA members to help build our capacity. The VISTAs began service in mid-January 2019.
